Escaping the Darkness !

                                                     You're sitting in a restaurant or a bar , minding your own business , maybe absorbed in a newspaper , or someone else . You try not to look at people , but you know that's just simply impossible , being an observer of the human condition . You see someone you don't recognize , but you become aware of their lack of interest in anything . They simply stare straight ahead , no visible emotion , and nothing there to say there is anyone at home , if you get my drift ?
                                                     You can't but be made aware of an unhappiness that's clearly written upon this person's face , and they are not trying hard to hide it . Maybe in the turmoil that is there concentration , something sinister or sad is happening . You have no way of knowing , but you know somethings amiss . You can't and won't make an approach , as what would you say to introduce yourself to someone who has never seen you before . But your heart is pushing you to do something , say something , give some sort of encouragement if needed to try and waylay some terror that might be happening inside them .
                                                     Then they just stand up , finish what they might have been doing and leave without coming into contact with anyone . You know that you have probably witnessed this type of thing before , but it has never been clearer than it has been this time . This person is obviously depressed , they have some mental health issue , and they need help .
                                                     You see , Mentally Sick will never be printed on their heads , Depressed will not be written inside their coat , and I need help will not be something they can even try to understand . The point I am trying to make is , just because someone looks normal , and at times behaves normal , doesn't mean they are being normal . Its the hardest thing about mental health issues , its not like a broken arm , you'll see a plaster cast . With mentally unwell people , nothing , and I mean nothing is that obvious . But if you are close to someone , the signs will all be there , the temperament will have changed , the darkness that is their day will be clear to you . You must take notice , you must take the time , Someone somewhere is needing your brightness right now !
