There's a time you come to in your life when arguing over the wingspan of a fly is no longer that important to you any more . It was never that important to be honest , but it was always made to seem important because someone else had their opinion and you had yours . And as we all know opinions are like assholes , everybody has one !                                                                   Trying to make sense of why , when and how never actually made sense to begin with . You always gave your side , and your opinion , and depending on how your mood was at that particular time , it had the possibility of appearing like world war three ..                                                                     Following on from yesterday's blog , I just want to share with you all some of my newest observations . As you know this is something I like to do , and from the reaction to yesterdays piece , some of these observations may just strike a chord somewhere along the internet line , hopefully bringing an agreement to something you were already considering or thinking about .                                                                    As an avid follower of world news and events , I always take an interest in comments and interference made by other countries in relation to our political status on this side of the world . As you probably all know by now the United Kingdom are giving their electorate a chance to decide their future , by having a referendum on whether to stay in the E.U. or not . At least no matter what the outcome is , the electorate will be able to say to themselves at least they had a vote on t

                                                                           Listening to politicians and their promises and all of the things they are going to do when they get elected can be rather annoying at times . You see , if you don't know already , I am always on the lookout for people who just might mean what they say when they decide to try and get themselves elected . I always look for a kind of sincerity that is always sadly lacking in the majority of our elected representatives . A look that says I mean what I say , and am prepared to lose everything in my quest to try and change things for the better . I am going to put my political life and character on the line for the people who mandated me to do certain things on their behalf . I will be true to my backers and followers , and if I fail it won't be for the lack of effort on my behalf .                                                                           That's what I would like to see in someone I jus

                                                                     For most of my life , I've either been too critical of things , or not critical enough . It's about striking an even balance I suppose . It's just not healthy to be going on about things day in day out . I mean besides wearing yourself out , you'll start doin other people's heads in . You'd probably lose the few good friends you do have , but it could be helpful in getting rid of those friends ( and we all know who they are ) , that you want to get rid of anyway . So be careful what you say about things , and more importantly how you say it , you never know it could be the undoing of you .                                                                     While I am of the opinion that in some circumstances , the least that is said the better . How I would Like to Remember Him !                                                                      Its with great sadness that I am writing this piece . The news of the untimely death of Prince has kinda knocked us all off center a little . As we all know he was that flamboyant entertainer who just couldn't wear his clothes tight enough . He preached everything from enjoying being blown away by a Little Red Corvette , to rocking smoothly in the midst of some Peculiar but apt Purple Rain . He was five years younger than me when he died , and that's why I use the term untimely , when I think of how the Little Man lived .                                                                     He was a revolutionary both in his music and in his attitude toward being Owned by  a recording label .                                                                          I love dogs ! I love puppies ! Now I don't know if many of you out there have decided to share your lifetime in the company of dogs , but my wife and I have always been of the opinion that a house is not a home without the company of a dog .                                                                         Its a very easy decision to make as a couple , whether you are going to have a dog or not . If one of you just can't stand dogs , then there really is no point in having one . The poor dog will never understand why you are so cold to the animal , but in your mind its just, dogs don't do it for you . And that's ok , not everyone has that calling . But if you're going to have a dog make sure both of you are on the same page , simple really .                                                                          Have you ever noticed how when you are enjoying yourself , time seems to flash past without so much as a by your leave ? And when you try to recall all of those precious enjoyable moments you've just spent , they are but a blur on the landscape ? And alright , you have your photo's to remind you of how good that time was , but experiencing those passages of time is what makes life worth living . But unfortunately like everything else , trying to recreate a moment in time that was utter joy , is as impossible as it is to try and create a home without a family . And then because these news corporations have hidden agendas and all sorts of ulterior motives , you don't really know whats true and whats untrue .False flags everywhere . As it Used To Be !                                                                     When things that were once commonplace , and expected , it's kinda hard seeing them replaced with what is considered an update , an improvement even .   But tell me ,who is this improvement for ? Always when people talk of improvements , you have to ask yourself , is somebody making money from such an improvement ? And who sanctioned this so called improvement in the first place , and why ? I can give you plenty of examples of so called improvements , and at the end of the day what it really meant was that a lot of people were going to lose their jobs .                                                                      I have never been surprised by any of the strange and utterly ludicrous laws that are in force in many States of the U.S of A . From preventing people feeding the homeless on the streets of their cities , to the three strikes and you're out rule . The further you look into the system of law and politics the more confused and angry you get .                                                                            I don't usually do personal blogs about me or my wife . But tonight is going to be an exception . You see Catherine is having surgery in the morning . She is having her second cataract operation in 6 weeks . Now she is not one to moan or put up her being unwell on any media platform . So I would just like to wish her well and hope it will be a complete success just like the last one .                                                                           We will both be up very early tomorrow morning , as the surgeon will start at 8.45 a.m . Just thought I would share this as she would never do it herself .                                         Now this little ditty is for all of you Americans who have and  still are continuously supporting these Mad Bastards .They lie , they misdirect , they are screwing you all as if it's Screw any American Citizen Day .                              Remember when you went to school , no matter whether it was primary or secondary , the level of respect you , as well as your family had for the teachers and the nuns ? If you came home from school after getting slapped by a nun or a teacher , the first thing that was said was sure you probably deserved it . This was the level of respect families had for the teaching establishment , giving them full support for their actions and the handing down of punishment to their children . They trusted these people to be fair , and anyway that's the way it was .                            Then these same children were taught to be good Catholics , learning every single word in their Catechism's , never wanting to let their teacher or their class down . The Parish Priest would from time to time look in on these religious classes just to make sure everything was done to make sure the boys and girls were truly up to scratch with their holy Catholic education .

                                                                          I know I have been very bold in not saying anything in the last few days , and to be honest I really didn't have that much to say anyway . Now that's not at all like me , I mean even if I can't get my head together , I will always throw something out there . And sometimes I can be very insular , in that nothing or nobody can make me want to open my mind , for the need of a better explanation .                                                                          I can be downright stubborn when it comes to sharing my thoughts and concerns . Never arrogant , I dislike anything that smells of arrogance . I dislike the need for having to explain myself though . Its not as if anything that I have done warrants an explanation about how , why or when . Trying to keep a handle on things is hard enough without having to feebly give directions as to why you did something in that particular manner . Or see

                                                                    Before anyone has the opportunity to ask where I was yesterday , I can confirm that I was painting another masterpiece , the hall stairs and landing . My lovely wife Catherine was busy painting the toilet downstairs , so that kinda gives you an idea of what we were up to .                                                                       I think I am getting very cynical in my old age . I mean no matter what someone says , or no matter what information is put out there I tend to nearly always have a cynical answer or opinion on what has been just said or released . The thing is I really don't blame myself for this . I blame everyone and everything on my cynicism . I find it extremely difficult to trust people . I find it increasingly hard to even bother with their drivel because most of it would be filled with silly , stupid , and inane  platitudes .                                                                      I think the older I get the worse I tend to be . Why would you want to strike up a conversation with someone you already know to be a f...... idiot ? Take this scenario . You and your partner are at a wedding , and as always you are placed not necessarily with people you know . You know that it is five o clock to sit for dinner ,

                                                                      So there you are , and how does it feel to be an integral part of a world that is going down the tubes ? How does it feel to be controlled , dictated to , and for you to basically have no say in how things are decided ? Because if you think for one minute that your are living democratically , you are seriously deluding yourself . If you think for one minute that your vote counts , you are not really getting it are you ?                                                                       You see the illusion of freedom is surrounded by so many do's and don't's that its hard to tell the bottom from the top . Everything we perceive as a freedom has been put in place to entertain and distract you from what's really happening .                                                                        Tell me this ?                                                                            It seems that when I wrote about a certain Mr. Berkowitz in New York recently , I was half expecting to be roasted by the Jewish Community that I believe Mr. Berkowitz is connected to . But no such thing , I was utterly surprised and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and honesty that his fellow New Yorkers decided to send me . They explained quite simply , that this man is neither representative of how many Jews feel about the Palestinian situation , nor representative of the Jewish people as a whole .                                                                           I like being proved wrong when it comes to this type of situation .                                                                 Where do I start ? The two little puppies have gone , and there is an eerie silence in the house . Its a silence that's welcomed after what I would term a hectic few days . Days that would make your attention antennae stick up like the proverbial wind turbine . Attention that is demanded , and given without so much as by your leave .                                                                    My lack of activity yesterday and today is unfortunate , but I am hosting and entertaining two little puppies called Zoe & Alannah who just happen to be my grand-daughters . So as you can imagine , trying to get some free time is just pointless , anyway I wouldn't have it any other way .                                                                    Storytime last night was a hoot , just more of an active imagination that I tend to exercise when these two particular squirrels come to visit . There will be more stories to tell tonight , and I am really looking forward to it . I don't know really what it's going to be about .
