                                                                       What is it about the passing of time that always makes you want to revisit certain things . If only I had have done that instead of this , if only someone had shepherded me in the opposite direction I wouldn't have made a mess of things . You see time can be like a snail passing , it can also be like an express train flying through your living room . A sense of time depends on how your mood is , or what kind of drama you are experiencing at any given moment .                                                                        Take for instance this day last week , it was Christmas Eve and everyone was up to their eyes in preparation and anticipation , and here we are now a whole week later and its New Years Eve . I don't know about you , but the last week has felt like a blur it has gone so fast , and that's exactly what I am talking about .                                                          

                                                                When you are a young child , you don't really take too much notice of people that surround you . Be they friends or family , normally you would lose contact with these people through no fault of your own , its just the way it is .                                                                 When I was about 8 years old I was introduced to somebody who at that time turned out to be my niece . I had no idea what that meant , only that I now had a status in life that didn't center solely around me . It was nice to assume that role , and as the years passed by I used to play with that same niece . We watched television together , because her mam was my eldest sister , we used to visit them a lot .                                                                 I never really appreciated how that relationship would develop , as there was plenty of drama that would separate us from knowing each other more , so much

                                                            I just know you are all lying on the armchairs watching some movie or soap , having survived another Christmas . Its worth saying from my point of view that this was the best Christmas I have had in years . We had our son and his partner for Christmas dinner , and it went off great .                                                            On Stephen's Day we had our other son , his wife and their two great girls for dinner and a sleep over . We sang our lungs out on the karaoke . My daughter in law and I went through the Erasure hits like epsom salts . I didn't think we'd manage it but we did . An amazing day was made even more amazing as I got loads of kisses off Lily . Now normally she is not one to throw around kisses , so today was kinda special  . I made

                                                                       Do you know something ? While wishing every friend and foe a happy Christmas , sometimes we lessen the importance of the very person who has been standing next to you for the previous 364 days of the year . Never ignored , but sometimes taken for granted . We are all very guilty of that sometimes and at times such as Christmas and anniversaries its kinda unforgivable . The other day because my wife seen that I was so caught up trying to get things together , you'll never believe what she did . She actually bought TWO Christmas cards , one from her to me , and the other FROM ME TO HER . Its the first time that has ever happened , and to be honest I was blown away . Normally cards of any description are sacred and inexcusable when forgotten , but this time she knew and realized I was up to my eyes in it .                                                                       Catherine is the love of my life

                                                                      Throughout the year your friends are trending this and trending that . They show their liking for things the usual way as we all know , and they also show their dislikes . They show their ups and of course their downs , and a lot of the time you have to read in to some of their postings merely to get some sort of understanding of how they are feeling at any given time .                                                                       The up comments and postings are pretty obvious , I mean you don't have to be a brain surgeon to understand their euphoria when something good happens . But you also have to examine and try and understand when the postings are a little dark and maybe not so euphoric . That's where being a friend , a family member comes in and gets you thinking that not everything is pretty and happy in some of their lives .                                                                  

                                  This will be my last political piece before the Christmas period . Throughout the year I have been very vocal with respect to America's involvement in anything subversive , and the length's it will go to oppress and justify its terrorist agenda . They have given all sorts of excuses for their actions , and do you know someone out there must be listening , because The American people's acceptance of anything politically American has risen to a new high of self doubt . I understand that nobody wants to believe that things aren't going to change , but they continually put themselves and others through the same old drama day in day out week in week out .Today , and every other day as well is for the people who care about you , who want to make sure that you are happy .                                                                    I am sitting here at my laptop wondering just what it is that needs to be said . I am in a state of utter confusion because brightening my keyboard is taking a lot more out of me than I ever had expected . It has created the appearance of illusion , and trying to make some sense of it all is beginning to get a lit bit tedious .                                                                   Trying to put words together , and it making sense is what appears to be the problem . You see we are all made aware of happenings and events , filled with pictures in our minds of how things are meant to be . Putting the information and the images together is what makes our understanding of these things easy , our own personal interpretations . Nothing is black and white .                   Does it not drive you to distraction the news you are allowed to read about ? Does it not annoy you that every newspaper , every tabloid , every magazine you buy , is full of the same TRIPE the media throw at you ?                   Even news programmes are full of the information they will only allow you to access.
