My Own Private Filtering System !

                                                           I was a product of the 60's , I was a person who believed and still does in the power of your own decisions . Yes , as you go along you learn and take in all the good things that life has to offer you , and sometimes the bad too ! As you get older you construct a filtering system within yourself that makes any bad decisions you may have made , something you can deal with , and eventually put right . This filtering system I've found to be very useful at times .
                                                           You think you've made the right decision in relation to some problem you've encountered , and then reality smacks you in the face , and then and only then do you realise the mistakes you've made . But thats the best thing about this filtering system , it always gives you multiple choices , until you get it right .
                                                           You see some people make decisions and feel for some strange reason that they have to stick by them , that they are bound in truth , that having decided something that there's no going back . I just feel thats putting too many limitations on your life choices . Life is not always about getting it right , life is about getting so much wrong and having the ability and choice to make it right ! And then you may never get it right , but thats what makes us human .
                                                           Everyone has a tight opinion about themselves , has a tight opinion about how they should act , and pours these same tight restrictions on their children , making them mini versions of ourselves . What we need to do is LOOSEN UP a little , Lord knows we have enough to deal with .
                                                          I've really only began feeling this way over the last ten years or so , and it has made things in my life a lot more productive and less restrictive . I know I am not the least bit perfect , but like everyone else have lived a life full of ups and downs . And have learned from life that you always have a second chance , if allowed , and if given a second chance , use it wisely , open yourself up to peoples limitations and just accept things for what they are .
                                                         Life is but a game , life is just a drama of sorts , being played out day by day by us the huge cast . You can make your life a comedy if you like , you can also make it a tragedy , but I fall somewhere in between . Where and how would you describe yours ?

                                                                    In the huge scheme of things we live our lives in a way that has been somehow mapped out for us .  We wake every day and do the things that are expected to be done by others , but mostly by ourselves . Most of the time we are pleased by our efforts , and sometimes we just let ourselves down . And that's okay too , because we're not as perfect as we would like to be , or as others might expect us to be .
