All about Ego , and it's not F...... Nice !
I spoke to someone today and asked about their feelings on refugees , I.S.I.S and basically everything that was happening in the world . They answered I don't really give a damn , what will be will be , Que Sera Sera .
That was about as much as I was going to get out of him , and it didn't really shock me . In fact I kinda expected it . We are so out of touch with what is really happening in the world that concern or getting yourself involved has become a not my problem issue . We are being drained of sympathy , we are being programmed into subservience , we are becoming mindless idiots .
Don't get me wrong , I understand exactly why this is happening , but what I don't get is why we are allowing it to happen . Imagine if for example some great sage gave us an out of our collective woes opportunity . Do you honestly think that we will have learned from our past mistakes ? Do you think for one moment that we would do anything differently ? Even after everything had been taken away from us , and given back to us just like a complete re-load of your laptop after it had crashed . Would we learn anything , or do anything that would make our second chance better than our first ? I personally really don't think so . Why ?
Put simply , some of us are just not to be trusted . We have lied throughout the whole of our lives , and we have done things at other's expense , and always with some sort of self justification . We have always wanted more , enough was never simply enough . We have indebted ourselves to give other's the impression that we are up for and up to everything that is put in our way . We should always save face you see , cannot be seen to be second rated or somewhat incompetent . As I said put simply , though we may not be able to afford something or be able for something , the facade will always be there that we are .Honesty would never come into it .
A lot of people can deal with the fact that not having as much as the next person doesn't make them any better or any worse . All it means is that if you can accept it , not having as much as
the next person just sends you on a more difficult path in life . People then have to give explanations to their siblings and their families on the current state of their affairs .This is their way of dealing with what others might perceive to be a lack of commitment or a reason for their lack of position in life .
That's the type of world we live in . Everything is perception . Everything is about how we want others to see us . We never want to be seen as failures , and will do anything to appear otherwise .Its all about ego , and its not f...... nice .
