The Truth Pulls no Punches !
As a parent myself , I have always reminded myself that when you do something , be it good or bad , you must always take responsibility for it . You can't just deflect responsibility for something , because you have been found out . You can make up all sorts of excuses for what you've done , but at the end of the day its all down to you , and an excuse is simply that an excuse .
An excuse is just a polite and easy way of saying please excuse me for having fu.... up .Please excuse the way I behave because that's just who and what I am . As I said you can deflect , and send people in opposite directions from the truth , b
ut at the end of the day all that's really left is the truth .
You can hurt yourself with the truth , happily and unhappily . You can also resent others for seeing the truth in all of its glory , especially when it points to you . Truth pulls no punches . truth doesn't judge , it simply is .
Don't disillusion yourself by trying to get around it with your Version of it .Playing mind games with words just goes to prove the strength of the truth , and it will never be convinced otherwise .We all fall victim to the truth , we all make mistakes and sometimes we learn from them . But blaming others for finding you out can neither console you nor make what you done any the less serious and upsetting .
Acknowledging the truth can hurt your ego . You always want to be seen as a caring intelligent human being . You always want others to respect your opinions and your values , especially your family . All of your achievements can be wiped away in an instant if you have behaved in a not to respectful or dishonest way .
Your first move of getting back that respect that you have lost , is simply to face the truth demon , and not try and excuse any of your explanation . At the end of the day by doing so , you are at the mercy of someone else's consideration . And if that person or persons love you enough , what seemed like an anchor around your neck , can be transformed into a map toward your salvation .
