Optimism for the Future !

                                                                          What is the single most important thing you can do to put your mind at ease ? Where does the drive come from that pushes you forward wanting to do more , and more importantly needing to do more ? Because at the best of times we tend to settle for something a little short of what you might call acceptable . We never truly test ourselves when it comes to personal endeavour . We settle for what we call the comfort result , though lacking in depth , it does give us the feeling of wanting to have earned that self clap on the back .
                                                                         We truly are a mystery to ourselves at times . We can never just do what's simple , and leave it at that . No we would rather complicate matters with reasons why we shouldn't do that . We can in our expertise at deduction , make a simple reasoning into some sort of Einstein theory of relativity . With its plus's and minuses , and equations that were meant to test the bravest of mathematicians . It no longer makes sense . And I am mystified as to why things have to be that way . Surely its a lot easier to just give in and admit defeat . But oh no , that's not who we are . We were created to be the top of the intelligence tree for a reason .And then I ask myself , What Reason ? With all of our reasoning capabilities , where has it got us ? We still blow the arse out of each other at will . We have absolutely no sympathy or empathy for our fellow human beings . And the list goes on and on .
                                                                        Today a man in Tullamore Co.Offaly declared , That on Christmas day he would open his restaurant and give free Christmas dinners to the homeless , and basically anyone who is in a bad way and can't afford to feed themselves . Now as far as I am concerned , this man and his actions , are a sample of whats needed in this country and others like it . This sort of action tends to go unnoticed and unappreciated , not by the people who benefit from it , but unappreciated and unnoticed by the powers that be . Its absolutely shameful in this day and age that families will be without the simple trappings of Christmas , through in a lot of cases no fault of their own . For once this year I have reason to be hopeful . For once in a very long time I have something to hold onto , that gives me a little bit of optimism for the future .
