Happy 40th Anniversary

                                                   This morning I woke up with the same woman I have woken up with for the last 40 years ! On this day The 10th January 1975 I married the love of my life , I said I do to the strongest , most irrational , most loving , most forgiving , person I have ever met in my life . She is everything to me and more , she can wrestle a smile on my face with the blink of an eye , and she can stop a conversation with a turn of her head .
                                                  We met for the 1st time in a club in Dublin called The GoGo in 1966 when we were both 13 years old . The rest is history , a history that I was so lucky to share with her and will continue to until forever !
                                                  There is so much I could say about my wife Catherine , but the best thing I will say is that she is and always has been my soulmate , my private counsellor , my advisor , my reason for getting up in the mornings when it was so cold that all I really wanted to do was stay in bed beside her all day .
                                                  She gave me three wonderful children , and they gave us seven wonderful grandchildren . I think we have honestly been blessed with good luck and always had more positives than negatives .
                                                 In conclusion , asked if I would ever change anything , I can easily say no , other than If I hurt her in any way I would take it back a hundred fold . She deserves everything , she deserves more and will get more if I have my way . She is silly , she is crazy , she is wonderful , she is my life ! Happy 40th Catherine , and let there be many many more , I am so enjoying my life with you .

No need to examine or analyze me , I am Well Beyond That !

                                                                    In the huge scheme of things we live our lives in a way that has been somehow mapped out for us .  We wake every day and do the things that are expected to be done by others , but mostly by ourselves . Most of the time we are pleased by our efforts , and sometimes we just let ourselves down . And that's okay too , because we're not as perfect as we would like to be , or as others might expect us to be .
